Russia without Corruption: Utopia or Reality?

Аннотация

A theoretical study of the fight against corruption in Russia is presented. The paper begins with a historical overview of the development of the phenomenon. The current situation in Russia is briefly described. The complex approach to the elaboration of anti-corruption measures is used. The need for a conceptual framework in the current Russian anti-corruption legislation is demonstrated. The usefulness of other countries’ experience, such as China and Singapore, is pointed out. A connection between the efficiency of combating corruption and the public attitude towards the phenomenon is established; the necessity of improvement of legal culture in Russia is revealed. It is emphasized that the policy of the government has an influence on the results of the fight against corruption.
