Аннотация

The paper presents a reflection on how social expectations are perceived in the process of interpreting the results of empirical research. The example of citizens with disabilities and discharged from military service is used in the paper to show the dependence of the process on the paradigm of the researcher. Interaction between academics and managers is seen as even more significant, as the managers use research results to make decisions that transform society.
